its been a great year.
The Auteurs is an important catalyst for my cinematic education, for that I thank you guys for upkeeping and upgrading my favorite site on the internet.

Happy New Year everybody! Thanks for the conversations I have had on this website and all of the interesting information I have read concerning film and other stuff as well. I love this website! It’s great to be able to be in contact with people that like film just as much as you do. I have only been on this website for only a few months and can’t get enough out of it. Hope all your resolutions come true this year!
Though I discovered it in late ’08, the Auteurs might just be my favorite thing of 2009.

Joshua W—surrealists don’t need a lightbulb to screw in. But, to your point, a minimum of two, and, assuming corporal surrealists, a rather large lightbulb.

You are correct! It’s exciting to be a part of The Auteurs..
Our year will be over in a few hours in Palo Alto, and I can tell you that I have never been as optimistic about our future as I am at this time. Take a look at our community. Take a look at the enthusiasm that radiates through every list, status update, film review, forum post, Notebook article… The place is rocking despite our shortcomings!
