@Jaeger
Two things, fwiw:
1. Sarcasm and irony are very, very difficult to convey and interpret in online discussions—especially if people don’t know you well. Even when they do it can be really tricky. The difference between a post that is absolutely genuine and one that is sarcastic can be non-existent. I honestly didn’t think the OP was sarcastic—I thought you were in earnest, waxing poetic.
2. Apropos of #1, knowing when someone is trolling versus being genuine is extremely difficult. Like irony, the way people get a feel for this is by becoming familiar with the poster. Without that familiarity people are really at a loss about where the poster is coming from and the default setting is to suspect bad intentions.
But if you interact more with people and you’re not a troll, that will become apparent relatively quickly and things should be all good.
I was seeking recognition, how can you not see this? That was my most gilded attempt yet! And what the hell kind of a name is Jazzaloha anyhow :)

When you say you were being sarcastic, didn’t you mean that your post wasn’t in earnest? I’m confused.

It’s got jazz and aloha. What’s not to like? :)

“So what are the right movies, francesco j. torres?”
Huh… how about movies that interest him? Because those ones he mentioned donot seemto be doing much
for him.
you guys are having a go at someone that writes an OP that was more enjoyable to read than 99% of the retarded-chimp threads that get started around here? (regardless of the strange point it was making that mainstream american tosh isn’t as good as a french classic)
gosh.
did someone mention hugs?

You just might take the prize.
