-Naked
-Insignificance
-Kiss Me Deadly
-Zazie Dans Le Metro
-Smiles of a Summer Night
-People on Sunday
-Something Wild
-El Norte
-Ride With the Devil
-Diabolique

All ordered on the 12th and all but Diabolique were delivered to the UK on the 26th which I’m very happy with. Diabolique was dispatched the following day so shouldn’t be far away now.

In today’s “pay-day order” I went for this bundle…
-Beauty & the Beast
-The Music Room
-Life During Wartime
-The Wages of Fear
-For All Mankind
-Close-up
-The Times of Harvey Milk
-Bigger Than Life
-Summer Hours

I also pre-ordered a couple more which weren’t available in the B&N sale from the shop in the US that I usually use. Neither is due out until the 16th but the place I order them from always dispatches pre-orders really early so I should get them by Wednesday or Thursday.
-Cul-De-Sac
-The Killing

Much of the B&N stuff is tidying up older titles that I’ve wanted but they were put on hold due to other titles that were available at the time. I’m somehow yet to watch any of Satyajit Ray’s work so I’m really pleased to be able to pick up The Music Room in the sale.

It’s always nice to be able to watch something which is completely new for me so I’m looking forward to that.

Once The Killing turns up I’m going to try and set aside some time to watch that, Killer’s Kiss, Paths of Glory and the complete US blu-ray boxed set in chronological order.

The only feature I’ll be missing is Fear & Desire which I’ve never seen, I’m a little cautious of watching it due to Kubrick’s feelings on the film. Would people recommend starting with that or am I better off avoiding the film altogether?

I’m well and truly Criterioned out for a while now…

I would just like to mention that I am very fond of Blu-Ray Books. I certainly prefer them to the boring clear blue cases 99% of Blus are packaged in.

I went crazy on this sale, these titles I purchased on Blu ray::

Vivre Sa Vie
Naked
High & Low
Léon Morin, prêtre
Everlasting Moments
The Secret of the Grain
Che (2 movie set)
Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas
Kiss Me Deadly
A Christmas Tale
Lola Montès
Black Moon
People on Sunday
Beauty and the Beast
The Magician

Needless to say I went crazy but when you buy 2 at a time it is a 2 for 1 sale. Not to mention my Blu ray library is well enhanced. :-)

I searched for the 2-disc set of The Killers on Barnes and Noble’s site, but couldn’t find it. If anyone has a link, it would be much appreciated. I think I exhausted all methods of searching for it, but I’m not above saying that I might be an idiot.

Need your help with selecting only 2 titles from the following list (Blu rays):

Black Narcissus
The Great Dictator
Beauty and the Beast
Diabolique
Sweet Smell of Success
Kiss Me Deadly

Thanks!

I’d definitely go with Sweet Smell of Success and then either Black Narcissus or Kiss Me Deadly.

But if you like them all relatively the same, then just use dvdbeaver to compare the blu ray transfers.

I love When A Woman Ascends the Stairs! Too bad my B&N has never EVER carried it.

I just got a part-time job at B&N for some extra cash, wish my employee discount could be used in conjunction with the sale!
