Where is this ‘See all lists"… does it appear on the page that shows the lists YOU have prepared? That may explain why I don’t have the function. I have not prepared any lists. I only make grocery lists and I list which days of the week the tide is high.
I see… I guess you’ll have to file a complaint.
Or I could add my tide chart and test to see if the function appears. Is that cheating?
This is such a little request: The ability to mass delete private messages. I’ve built up a few pages, and it’d be nice to be able to just click “Select All” and poof, they’re gone.
Also, the ability to delete sent messages.

Noah K – No protocols…just that if you aren’t interested in anything some people post you just click on the user and click ‘ignore’ whenever you feel like it. From that point onwards you’ll never be able to read any of their posts. The ‘ignore user’ function is pretty common on chat sites.

^ I’ll second the page count at the top of the page on forum topics. I don’t know if it’s possible, but a way to search solely within specific topics instead of the whole site archive would do wonders as well.
I’d like to be able to choose the order of my lists and favorite movies within my profile. The four that show up on the profile page should remain random as it was implemented today, that’s cool and it’s really the best way to go for the profile page, but I would like an option to reorganize them according to my preferred order when visualizing all of them.
I agree that an iPhone app would be a great idea.
But anyway, you’re site is really fantastic, I know you are constantly adding more films and I think that’s one of the biggest things that needs to be done. Nothing more annoying than getting excited about adding a film to your favourites that you’ve just seen, only to find out it’s not on here.
Anyway, I’m already noticing great new changes. Keep up the great work!
@Souljacker – I see no need for tagging films. That adds clutter and takes away from the simplicity. If anything, Lists can be made for similar films, and that can be used as a “tagging” feature, sort of.
@Augusto – The general consensus around here was that we preferred random favorites. As for the lists, they’re ordered by what has the most “likes.”
Thanks for the reply, Glemaud, but I think I wasn’t able to make myself clear in my post. I was afraid of that and it’s all my fault, really. I had a hard time with the phrasing there and it turned out to be pretty confusing. I agree that the four favorites displayed on the profile page should remain random, as it is. That’s cool. What I was talking about is the page that contains all of our favorites, the one you go to after clicking on “see all” on the profile page. In there, the movies added last are the first ones to show up and that order can’t be changed without removing and re-adding a bunch of movies. What I was asking for is a way to reorder favorites there. As long as it doesn’t screw with the site aesthetic, of course.
That’s just a very small feature I think would be cool, though the site’s already awesome as it is and I agree with Jye that the priority should be adding more movies to the archive, not on changing little details like that.
This probably isn’t news to anyone, but it was rather nice to see some posts “Moderated” today. I’d not visited the site in a while and whew, was that ever lacking at the time!
Just wanted to offer a thanks to the stepped up forum patrol.
The fact that most people might be interested in watching films from a specific country or a specific year means that each year and each country listed below each film should be links as well (just like the film crew’s names) and directed to another page which shows more films from that specific country or more films from those specific years.
I know, that would just make a big-ass list for US films, Japanese films, and French films but for countries that don’t have much well-known or accessible films, that would be very helpful.
For example, there will be a separate page for the country Philippines, and in there will be listed films in The Auteurs database from that country such as Insiang, Himala, Manila in the Claws of Brightness, etc.
And a separate page for, let’s say, year 1957, which would list films from that year such as A Chairy Tale, The Cranes Are Flying, The Incredible Shrinking Man, etc.

I’ll echo the sentiment, though. Indiscriminate and rapid-fire “hate” threads are about as constructive as drinking coffee to go to sleep.
