Would like to see a way to recommend a movie to a friend. This could be just a button and it sends as a message to other members or through e-mail. Often I see a great movie that I found from MUBI, and I rate the movie and want to recommend to a few people and don’t currently have a way to do this.
how about the ability to create lists, etc. as a private draft before posting publicly.
kind of like the ability to make amazon wish lists public or private.
just thinking out loud on this one.
↑ That would be a good idead (and a PREVIEW function for lists as well!).
I want to suggest an independent section for SW&A (Simultaneous Watching and Analysis) in the topics bar of the forum. In this way it will be easy to follow past threads and give continuity to discussions and weekly events.
A way to organize your own ratings of movies and other people’s ratings. Otherwise it is just a long list and is impossible to wade through. Could just be organized by number of stars or when rated.
Well, I’ll contribute to this one as well:
I was looking forward to a more organized and convenient way of searching films and / or rating them, bookmarking as want-to-sees and the like. i don’t know if this has been asked in the early pages of the threads but it would be pretty cool to FINALLY see tablets of search engines for years, running times, countries, directors, genres etc. You get the picture and I’m hoping for some backup with this!
That has been suggested before but of course has never been done. I don’t know much about programming but I guess It has to be difficult to carry on technically in relation to the today-architecture of the site since it’s obvious an excelent idea and I don’t see another reason to not put it at work.
I’m down with that.
I’d also like the favorite auteurs list to be randomized like the favorite films are on your profile page.
Er, what’s up with the names of countries in other languages? Schweiz in one film, Switzerland in another. Etats-Unis in one film, USA in another. Tailandia for the film Tropical Malady, and that’s not even at least in the Thai language!!! Are you guys aware of the simple concept of CONSISTENCY?
I know, not all of us are native English speakers and have English as a second language, I also speak for myself on this one, but English is the most widely used language at least in this forum. I think we’ve already established that. I’m pretty sure there are a bunch of cliques here who use this website and converse in their own native languages. That’s completely understandable. But, if you want to reach other non-English-speaking users, there’s a translation toolbar for that.
Please change this back to the way it is. I just saw France being translated to various languages in one go: Franca, Francia, Frankreich. Really!? It seems so unprofessional.
On the newly added film Master of Ballantrae it should be freedom from the English not British
Thanks Kenji. It is now correct.
Can we have Anno Hideaki’s page updated? Most of his best work isn’t even on the page, and there is no photo etc. In any case, it’s a pretty sorry sight for someone nearly of the same calibre as Miyazaki (evil cousin, as I like to say).
There are no film stills visible on the recently added film page…?
That’s great. Maybe they can add a bunch of titles to the database without having to add stills now. There are too many titles not in the database.
This thread has been moved, please continue the discussion here.
