Half-stars for rating films wanted!
A feature where you can click to “last post”.
How do I see my watchlist?
The EDIT time should be increased to at least 60 minutes.

EDIT: What Samantha said. ;)
I’d like for there not to be a time limit at all.
Same question as rossoneri fan, how do i vew my watchlist? Does it not exist, or can I just not find it?
On another thread, they said our watchlists would pop up in a couple weeks, but that was a couple weeks ago. I guess we just have to be patient. They certainly know we’ve been asking about it.
“I’d like for there not to be a time limit at all.”
On the one hand I agree with you, but sometimes when I’m arguing with people they’ll edit their post minutes later to remove the part that I disagree with, and then it looks like I’m just mistakenly arguing about nothing. So I don’t mind the time limit, because at least if I post on something an hour after its been created they can’t respond to my comments by making it look like I had nothing to comment on.
definitely a “jump to the last post” feature
or even better, maybe a way of sorting threads by “most recent” “first post” or by poster, i dunno, anything to make navigating threads easier.
Oh, that’s happened to me recently too but I’d still like for there to be more time. Or at least a DELETE button.
If someone removes the bit of their comment I’m responding to, I point it out and ask them why they did so everyone knows, lol.
A delete button would be nice, but with a time limit.
A useful feature would be to have the possiblity to mark the watchable films in the database for later viewing. Kind of a “to watch someday”-list. So I do not have to search for them again and also do not forget to watch them in the first place.
Admin getting rid of threads on the same subject that are done simply to clog up the front page (eg the Benjamin Button nonsense yesterday). I would also like more time to edit. Any way for more of the films to be viewable in the UK- the handful i most want to see aren’t available to watch here.
Surely by now The Maltese Falcon and Schindler’s List should be in the library? So many contemporary films have been added recently, and great to have the Scorsese foundation free films, but there are still plenty of classics awaiting their rightful spot!
I was teasing Shotzi recently for losing his ‘cinephile’ wings, and have noticed that all our illustrious ‘cinephiles’ have also lost theirs – so it seems. What terrible transgressions have they made to be stripped of this glorious title and when is the said title coming back? For now, we are all consigned to various circles of auteurs Dantean hell until this situation is resolved. There is no need to give Shotzi back his ‘cinephile’ wings – as he has admitted to an irrational love for the cheesy songs of one Cyndi Lauper – but please restore a formula to allow the other illustrious cinephiles to re-gain theirs. We look up to these original cinephiles so much, and we always hope to aspire to their exalted state of auteurs ‘grace’ someday, ourselves. Please explain – as we all crave our ‘cinephile’ wings!
It’d be nice to have a pinned thread that list all the code commands that are applicable to this forum for users. I mean, posting pictures etc.. What else can one do exactly? Maybe this already exist?
Edit: Or on my wall, that would be great too! Thanks <’,))(
: )
I would love to see Sleep Furiously, which has just been added to the library. It was the latest Sight and Sound film of the month, a rare film from Wales that may be excellent, and set in a patch i know. It says viewing is by invitation only- how can i, and others of course, get invited?
How come the German/feminist film director Margarethe von Trotta and the Yugoslavian/Serbian short/feature film director Vlatko Gilic are not among us?
adding these film directors would help make The Auteurs more totally awesome:
the Japanese film director KIJU YOSHIDA
the Polish film director JERZY KAWALEROWICZ
the Polish film director KRZYSZTOF ZANUSSI
the Serbian-American film director SLAVO VORKAPICH
the Bosnian film director VLADA (Vladimir) PETRIC
the Lithuania-American film director JONAS MEKAS
the avant-garde American film director HANS RICHTER
the Dutch film director JORIS IVENS
the Polish film director JERZY SKOLIMOWSKI
know this is being worked on but I just wanted to add another vote for full email notification preferences in account settings. And/Or the option to specify a different email for billing notification.
profile customization so we can get creative ;)
look to last.fm for inspiration. I’m not saying you should be a carbon copy of that site but they do have loads of great ideas. Let us post what movies we have watched recently on our profiles. Don’t stick to the films that are in your library, but instead let us tag them ourselves and let the community decide the correct tagging. Crowdsourcing can make your job easier and allow for more rapid expansion of the site.
Like, totally? Well, there should be more, like, hot guys on here, so, like, I can flirt with them and stuff. What’s your cell number? Let me text you!
It would be nice to see people’s avatars in the forums, unsure if it’s been said already but that would be nice.
I wish there were more posts per page. And also free movies. Those are cool too. Awesome site!!!
Profile customization, definitely. And I kind of wish “talkfests” or something similar was a style option.
I don’t like the ideas of avatars in the forums or letting the community tag movies. Just my two cents.
The photo for The Devil’s Backbone is still wrong. You’ve got a still from The Orphanage on its page.
I’ll stop now, lol. Keep up the great work! Love the site.
No one has answered the question I posed above re the ‘cinephile’ status. Can anyone enlighten me as to why it disappeared for past members and if it is going to be re-instated in some format? Of course, I have very ulterior motives for asking this question, but I am curious why the cinephile status disappeared, too. Does anyone from the auteurs ever read these things anymore?
