This is a great bit of Lynch. I like all three segments, but particularly love the Crispin Glover and Alicia Witt story. I have a well viewed vhs dub of it. I would love for someone to put it out on dvd, along with Lynch’s short lived network sitcom ON THE AIR.
I’m also possessing a VHS copy, sadly enough. My favorite might just be the Unger one, I love the ending to it, although all three are great.
I’m just getting into On the Air. I’d love for both to get released in a package like the Twin Peaks boxset, but I doubt it’ll happen. Kind of sad the whole Lime Green box set Lynch released didn’t have either of them on it. Maybe someday.
I often think about the Glover/Witt segment, though I haven’t seen it in years, and recall fondly it’s beautiful photography and it’s terrifying script. Chilling. As in “to tha biggity-bone”. Right, guys?! Reminds me of Virginia Woolf. Hump the hostess, anyone?

You guys ever see this show? It was a three episode HBO miniseries, the first and third episodes directed by David Lynch. First one, Tricks, starred Harry Dean Stanton, the third starred Crispin Glover. The second episode was directed by James Signorelli and starred one of my favorite actresses, Deborah Kara Unger.
It was a pretty great show, very surreal, and is sadly unavailable on DVD.
