“Mike, just go downtown if you want what Sasha Grey has to offer.”
Blue, in downtown Orlando, where I live, I’m more likely to pick up Spaulding Gray in a dress.
There’s always the biblical theme park, lol.
Criterion!
I had been buying Criterion discs for many years and I think there might have been a mention of the website in one of their discs. Anyways, I signed up to get notices by e-mail for things like the newsletter that they print every month and I think I found it that way. My friend said I should try and get on it, so I did and I think it’s a great site.
From a blog called Incontention.com
I was doing research on anteaters in my spare time, misspelled it (I’m all thumbs), and here I am. Did you know that the Giant Anteater can eat up to 30,000 insects in a single day? Amazing.

Thank God that thing doesn’t eat legumes.
I knew the auteurs existed through the criterion site, but didn’t think much of it at the time. Awhile later, while googling Satantango images I found a picture that was used in the ’Favourite frame(s)" thread, I saved a bunch of pictures and then joined.
Criterion
Day 01. I found this site when it was little more than a bedtime story for fledgling cineastes. There were about eleven films in the database, and the forum was a ghost town. I have no idea how I got to the holding page.
Thank the lord or whomever for criterion!
I found it early too, when the movies were (astoundingly) free and they were asking for suggestions. I suggested the “Want to See” list. :)
A link from a blog to the Fake Criterion DVD covers’ thread, then been visiting the Criterion page regularly to check for new releases and the Auteurs’ ad in the page had always teased me so, but only yesterday I decided to partially migrate here from IMDb as it became too useless.
I found this site intially through Facebook. Didn’t pay much attention though, until I was pulled in by a big Criterion sale right before their partnership with auteurs was launched.
Criterion link.
Criterion. . . . but soybean takes the cake. Why don’t you do some internet research on platypuses, ocopuses, marmots, ravens, sasha grey and whatever else comes to mind, then report back on what you find?
i stumbled upon it.
Through my friend Alex Barrett. I’m not mentioning LA on my FB because I’m really enjoying the fact that it’s quite exclusive and I’m hope it stays that way!!

I was very curious as to what spine #500 was going to be, so I kept going back to the Criterion Web site to check. At some point, I actually looked at the bottom of my screen…and here we are.
I found this site through Criterion, and I found Criterion through this class listing which i signed up for last summer. On-site PDF file of Criterion Collection syllabus (I still can’t get links to work for me):

Unfortunately the class was canceled due to lack of enrollment, but I’ve just heard it will probably be offered again this Winter session. I’m taking another class with Ms. Gronvall currently, called Mafia Movies – it’s a lot of fun – and she will be teaching the Criterion class. Any Chicago area people who might be interested should visit the Winter catalog when it comes out. I would be happy to give a “heads up” notice on the Auteurs, if it is allowed?
through criterion
Referral from a a fellow cinephile (Ike).
I actually Googled “film criticism” or something like that…and now I’m completely addicted to this site.
I followed a Fake Covers link here too. My friends must all be happy because now they don’t have to listen to my rant on why isn’t there a decent forum discussion site for people seriously interested in film? I’ve looked for something like this off and on for years.
Glad I found it too since so many of the film blogs I follow have gone inactive. Like anybody else miss Filmbrain’s Screen Capture Quiz? Anybody around here got the gumption and the movie collection to run a weekly quiz? Or do it tag team?

Damn Grey Daisies I thought you really knew Scorsese for a few seconds. What a let down…
