I was wondering today while I was at work talking to someone about Criterion Collection how you describe them to someone who doesn’t know anything about them? What is it about them that ’turns you on," if you will.

“Criterion has a higher concentration of quality films.” Any more specific than that could possibly be erroneous.

The Criterion Collection is dedicated to gathering the greatest films from around the world and publishing them in editions of the highest technical quality with supplemental features that enhance the appreciation of the art of a film.

As a publishing house that releases some pretty good European, and American films. I mean it’s just a publishing house. It’s only somewhat better than most, and they have huge gaps in their collection. No reason to get all obsessive over it.
