A shite ton.
No, but seriously, eh…I’ve been watching films virtually my whole life. If I haven’t hit 1000, I’d be surprised.
Savvy
after using a calculator :O)
i estimate about 4-5000
i could be wrong by about 2000 or so
Average a bit less than 200 a year probably, so about 3,000.
Around 2,500 that I can remember.
It would have to be a ton. Im 32, and find it impossible to even take a guess, but it would have to be over 5000.
Probably 1500-2000, but I really have no idea. TV shows don’t count by the way, heh.

Wait I didn’t take into account the whole “I didn’t watch movies in my first few years” thing, so I’d say more like 2,000.
thousands, but it’s hard to say!!!! I’d average around 150+ a year.
According to Netflix, approximately 1700 (give or take a few TV and music discs).
I’d say 1500 in my whole life. Probably much more, but most of it was sh*t anyway, which I deplore.
Counting repeats of the same film around 1000 I think.
I’d guess around 5K. I have 3300 rated on netflix but must be missing quite a few unreleased/forgotten ones. Also, do repeat viewings count?
I’ve been watching films for about 53 years…
I used to keep meticulous records of the films I had seen, but I gave that up after I reached 8,000. There was a 4-5 year period when I made a point of watching at least TWO films EVERY DAY (some admittedly on TV). In those days, in New York City, one could almost always find an art house double bill. Once, I sat through 4 Peckinpah films in a row, starting at midnight. (Fortunately, I slept through JUNIOR BONNER but was aroused out of my torpor by THE WILD BUNCH at 6:30 AM!)
Since I reached 8,000, I’d estimate that I’ve seen another thousand or so. TOTAL: about 9,000 (accumulated over more than 50 years — 30 of them seriously). I’ve also developed a scholarly interest in GOOD television, so that takes time away from my moviegoing exploits.
For a while there, though, I was competing with the likes of Andrew Sarris and Peter Bogdanovich. I’ve fallen woefully behind since then. Some of you may have caught up.
Too few…
Too true…
Too sad…
counting re-watches too?
by films alone and the early years too, yes…more than 3000…..perhaps more since i’m forgetting films and even though i keep an online rating catalog, many are missing…
that number though is nothing….perhaps i can hit 1000 books too after a number of years, hehe.
I’ve seen 1554. 557 of which was last year.
I have so many to watch! My goal is 600 this year.
rush hour 1
rush hour 2
rush hour 3
subtract those three “films” from every other film made and it will be pretty close to my number.
I once tried to calculate how many cigarettes I’d smoked in my life and grew very depressed when I realized how much money I’d wasted on them. That being said I’ve only seen three movies: Rush Hour 1, Rush Hour 2 and Rush Hour 3.
@ k-r-i-n-k-l-e
so is the rush hour trilogy worth checking out?
rush hour 2 is the best :O)
well yeah, probably… except for the third one, i can only assume brett ratner lost creative control of the franchise :(
and like2sleep is right, rush hour 2 is the best.
I kept a film diary since 1999, for the past ten years, the total film I had watched is: 3821. I have watched at least one film a day, if not more………. Before 1999…. my memory is blank.
I’ve been watching lots of movies since the family got a vcr back in about 1982 or so. I’ve no idea the total number over all those years, but I watched over 300 last year and am aiming for between 500 and 1000 this year (I’ve watched 52 since January 1st).
I’ve watched movies since 1945. As far as I can remember 5053.
