I’m 59 and i grew up across the street from a Cine(movie Theater) my mom worked there so from age 6 till now I can’t even begin to count the movies I’ve seen.
mine’s 1768. At least according to the Flickchart.
Somewhere between seven and nine.
Well some book said it takes an estimated 10,000 hours to master something, so I’m about 1/5 of my way there.

I have utterly no idea.
But last week I watched a movie (McCabe & Mrs. Miller) and the minute the first Leonard Cohen song started I realized I’d already seen it—maybe 30-35 years ago—but had utterly no recollection of having ever seen it before.
That was a shock. On a couple of different levels. It’s not senile dementia—short term memory loss is the giveaway on that one. So it’s either aging (now) or weed (then).
If you’re still counting, you need some more experience under your belt. And that goes not just for movies.
Im almost in reach of that hideous 1000 mark…what have I become? 0_o
