I Hate Film

I love hating film. I invest huge amounts of time into watching movies just so I can explain to everybody in a detailed, fact oriented way why their favorite movie sucks.

There comes a point once you’ve seen thousands of films, you’ve seen all the “obvious” stuff, so all that’s left for you to do is “root through the trash” and hope you get lucky.

Maybe trash is too strong a term, let’s call it the bottom of the barrel. Anyway sifting through the bottom is a trying process, and can certainly lead to some of these more “jaded” mentalities, but it’s all worth it when you find that rare gem.

Or at least it’s worth it in theory….
