I liked Let Me In, I felt it worked well, but I feel Let the Right One In is superior.
No, the interplay between the leads was what made LTROI great. I did enjoy Let Me In as a horror film, though. LTROI’s attempts at genre were horrifying in an altogether different way.

I think it is, but not by much. I prefer the leads in LTROI, but pretty much everything else in Let Me In.
They both have things I like. I wish there was a way to combine the two.
yes i agree Stefr, the best of both would make a great film.
What gives ‘Let Me In’ the slight edge is the performances of the two leads, especially Chloe Moretz. There is no individual moment in Matt Reeves’ remake that matches the above posted cat scene, but those performances are too strong to ignore. I also like the decision to place the story in Reagan-era America, where such bullying behavior wasn’t only tolerated, but viewed as a rite of passage. They are both stellar, and each made my top ten of their respective years, so you’re really splitting hairs between the two.

Got" Let the Right one in", on Bluray this weekend. I’m ashamed to say, apart from the interplay between the to leads, I thought “Let me in”, worked better!
