There’s a snake in my boots!
I guess no one cares about Cassavetes OR the snake in my boots…=(
Well, I already own the Five Films box set, so …
I’d recommend watching Faces next.
My personal favourite is Opening Night. The others are great as well, but Opening Night just hits a chord with me.
But about that snake in your boots … no I don’t care. heh
FACES
Definitely Faces, his second best next to “Woman.” Then Shadows, a glimpse of some of his earliest improvisational work, and then Opening Night. Just my recommendation.
@Deckard Croix…Thanx…=/ ha.
and ok Faces seems to be the winner.
Hidden Behind the Screen
All the five films from Criterion’s five films box set are currently intantly watchable on Netflix instant play. So if you haven’t bought/seen any of them now’s a great time to! And if you don’t already have Netflix this is the best time. I know everyone here isn’t from the US, so sorry but I can’t contain my excitement.
I’ve come to love John Cassavetes after seeing Chinese Bookie and then Women Under the Influence (which is one of my new favorites)…
I still need to see Shadows, Faces and Opening Night…I’m debating which one to watch next… Maybe the reason this excites me so much is I could never see myself buying that set, though I might have to bring myself to now!
Just a side question:Which of those 5 films is your favorite?
