Hot Rod: 8/10 – http://filmvisuality.blogspot.com/2009/06/review-hot-rod.html
The Diving Bell and the Butterfly: 9/10 – http://filmvisuality.blogspot.com/2009/06/review-diving-bell-and-butterfly-le.html
Zack and Miri Make a Porno – 4/10 – The dialogue was lazy and terrible, even for Kevin Smith, who usually prides himself on this point.
Gosford Park- 9/10.
Transformers- 7/10
Terminator Salvation -6/10
The Good the Bad and the Ugly: 9/10
The Spirit of the Beehive (a first viewing): 8/10.
Capricious summer: 8.0. A year after the Oscar prize Menzel strikes again. A delicious comedy about three lazy middle-aged men and a young woman arrived in the city with a tightrope walker. They finally try to approach her but without success. Visually pleasant, thanks to the charming cinematography, but the essense and the real meaning of this movie is to be found in the fluent characters speeches.
Pearls of the deep: 7.0. Portmanteau of the best czech directors of the time. Schorm’s episode (9.0) is above the rest, naturalistic and fabulous in the same breath. Menzel’s one (7.0) is modern and a bit futuristic but, unavoidably, tragic. In hers fragment Vera Chytilová (8.0)prefer to colour an amazing b/w more suitable for a girl hanging and the night wandering of a bride and a bar costumer. Němec’s episode (6.5) is firm and nostalgic like an old-fashioned anecdote. At last arrives Jireš’ Romance (8.5) beetween a czech teenager and a gypsy girl, a sweet note of fresh love and hope.
Terminator Salvation – 4/10. The beginning was decent but, the middle and the end were absolutely atrocious. The plot has as many holes as a chunk of Swiss cheese. Do not waste your money on this stupid film. It is probably worse than Terminator 3. Hollywood needs to put this franchise to rest.

Dersu Uzala – 10/10
Fargo: 9/10
Eyes Wide Shut: 9/10.
Withnail and I – 8/10
Jackie brown – 3/5 kinda dissapointed me, but it was still good.
The Game (Fincher) – 3/10. Yes, I hated it. Stuck up yuppy, part of a small, exclusive group goes through self inflicted, unbelievable hell to become part of an even smaller, more exclusive group…
The Hangover
Hmmm how do I rate this? I laughed my ass off, but it was nothing special cinematically. Does that matter?
I will settle on 8/10.
At the wife’s requset,
He’s Just Not That Into You: 3/6
Better than I was expecting – went down easy, if unremarkably. Kinda like white bread. Justin Long was quite good, though.
