Doesn’t anyone else find this cover ABSURD???!?!?
Would this have been less absurd?

Take out the Eiffel Tower and it’s a good cover.
Obviously Last Tango in Paris is a great movie and the BD cover doesn’t matter one bit, but here’s another cover that mystified me:

True, Nathan. That’s pretty ridiculous, if you ask me. The Apartment is freaking great.
And that Last Tango cover isn’t the WORST thing I’ve ever seen, because at least it has good production value, unlike some… others…

Savvy
With Leaves tho the cover is about as good as the film
Den, that depends on who y talk to. :P But, still, man, they can at least TRY to sell the damn product.
Another awful damn cover (for a movie I never intended on seeing):

Savvy
YIKES! you’re right…. that APARTMENT cover trumps the LAST TANGO cover ….what an odd thing to put out…I certainly hope the art director who put that together was fired!
^ Doesn’t the image of the phallic Eiffel Tower add to the eroticism?
Ben,
I think the issue is that it’s gimmicky and cliched, not the movie, just the BD cover. I do like the movie itself.
“The Passion Is Even Hotter On Blu-Ray!” LOLZ.
Last Tango is in my top 5 films of all time, so I impulse bought this on Friday. However, I don’t own a Blu-ray player, and don’t currently have the money for a region-free one. Is the PQ as good as the film deserves? I need me some Bertolucci in 1080p.
The disc is certainly worth $12, which is probably what one could reliably find a sealed copy for.

What a happy cover! This promises a lightweight romantic romp!!!
Jeez…
