I rarely cry during films. I can not remember the last time a movie moved me to tears, and when they do, it is usually the most random film or sequence that grabs ahold of something buried deep in my psyche. Tonight I experienced that with the most unlikely film by Wernor Herzog “God’s Angry Man”. It brought the “waterworks” and I really have little idea why. Usually, I dont get weepy but I get very reserved, cry some solitary tears and then am overwhelmed by the inevitably of death. It always feels the same, and the sources are always unexpected… This being a site devoted to film and having a plethora of cerebral cinephiles I think the responses to the questions “What was the last film to make you cry? The oddest sequence or film to make you cry?” would be interesting.
