watched an episode of Modern Family, jokes copied from The Cosby Show fathers day episode and uninvolving subplots
ehhh 1/5
Running Wilde
“The Pre-Nup” (Season 1, Episode 12)
4.5/5
a truely solid episode with an opening reference to Arrested Development and tons of weird plot twists and absurd gags…. Running Wilde at it’s best (second only to “The Junior Affair”). Next Saturday is the series finale….. Excuse me while I weep :(
Dexter Season 5 Episode 2
This season is honestly pretty boring so far. 3/5.
Real Housewives of New York City
Chris March makes a guest appearance to help Sonja with her masquerade party costume. 2.8/5
Community season 2 finale. 4/5
Though failing to match the intensity of last season’s paintball ep, it’s still a satisfying end to a season that leaves us craving for more.
I wonder if Chevy Chase is really not going to be back next season, or if there’s going to be some ongoing arc from him leaving the group.
maybe he is tired or ready to retire, last I saw on tmz he was hanging with Bev D Angelo talking about making another Vacation flick. I like 80s and early 90s Chase cannot stomach Community tho
I wish Chevy Chase would still be in the show. Even as a villain.
Too bad he couldn’t get along with the other actors.
I didn’t hear about his arguments with the other actors. I wonder what that’s about. Although I heard he didn’t get along with the original SNL cast either.
I have finally had a chance to see HBO’s “Carnivale” from the beginning, getting disc 1 from Netflix.
Having caught only glimpses of the show, I was curious about it.
It’s certainly an audacious concept: a travelling carny show in the dust bowl midwest in the 30es, contrasted with a strange minister who has ‘heard his calling’ and whose story will intersect that of the carnival at some point.
It has a great look and interesting actors, and there is a fair amount of magic and miracles in it so far.
Nice to see Michael J. Anderson get a prominent role.
I know HBO gave up on the show, so it will be interesting to see how it plays out.
Running Wilde
“Basket Cases” (Season 1, Episode 13 – Series Finale)
4/5
I’m gonna miss this show. The finale wasn’t the all-time best episode but it provided at least a little bit of closure…. Not enough Puddle though.
desperate housewives:
will be sorry to see Paul Young go, Gabby’s stepdad’s motivation did not make a lot of sense, Lynette is mean; the good news, I like seeing bad things befall Susan and the crazy woman got what she deserved. I was also glad to see it was a lightly shocking season finale and not something completely overblown.
2/5
Glee season finale 4/5
The Killing season finale 2/5
The Voice seemed to change its format from battle rounds to solo affairs in the second set of judge’s favorites episode, not cool. Also. Blake’s pick was dumb. 1/5
Sherlock – Entire series in a night. 9/10 (middle ep. out of the three not as strong as the first and last)
Torchwood
“Miracle Day: The New World” (Season 4, Episode 1)
4/5
this episode was slow but I understand being the first of the season that they had to introduce the new characters played by Phifer, Havins and Pullman. Bill Pullman is especially creepy as Oswald, interested in how his story plays out (Pullman has said he will NOT be back next season, if that means anything). Also, not enough Jack in the episode but it looks like it’s gonna be a great season!
Casey Anthony on Trial HLN 3/5
Nancy Grace going crazy about it 0/5
someone ought to lock her up
She has her act down pat, she knows how to play to her moronic white trash base audience who are clueless as to how vile she is.
JapeMan
Exactly what it sounds like…..
Running Wilde
“Alienated” (Season 1, Episode 11)
3.5/5
Not one of the stronger episodes although seeing Migo “naked” was shocking.I just never liked the Andy character and wish the show was more about Steve/Emmy/Puddle…. Only 2 episodes left and Jeffrey Tambor guest stars next week!
