I have a project entitled A Female Director a Day. Each day, we can watch and/or discuss a particular female director’s oeuvre. -—
September 29th: Lillian Christy Chester -—
I found out about Lillian Chester from Anthony Slide’s book, The Silent Feminists: American’s First Women.
Lillian Chester assisted her husband George Randolph Chester on many Vitagraph features from 1916 onwards. She was to receive credit on a feature entitled The Song of Wallingford (1921). This film has not even been listed on IMDB. Anyone hear of her of have anything to add?
