This is a topic which we spent a lot of time discussing internally, and we will be providing some method of linking accounts very soon. It’s something that’s easy most of the time, but has many complications to look out for (what if both accounts have ratings for the same film, or differing bios, or worse yet, subscriptions). We’re thinking very hard about providing the best user experience for this, and will be updating the site shortly. In the meantime I’ll be in touch via email about a short term solution for you.

I have various email accounts, so I had this linking problem too.
Managed to do a workaround though.
I logged in to my auto-generated PSN Mubi account online, and deactivated it, then logged in to my original account and changed the email address to the one I use on PSN, and verified it.
Then on the PS3, deleted the game data for Mubi and restarted it. The Mubi app then auto-links you to your original account (although it did still log in to my auto-generated account for a while – I assume it takes a short while for the server to fully deactivate an account).
Once that’s done, I just changed my email address back online, and the Mubi app still automatically logs in to it. Must be some magic PSN metadata behnd the scenes.

So pretty much, we have no trouble if we use the same email address for mubi and psn.
That is correct, if the email addresses are the same, it associates the new ps3 user record with the existing MUBI account. Our hope was that the majority of existing users who signed up for PS3 would have the same email, and thus the people who ended up with unlinked accounts would be the minority, and we could figure out how best to resolve those cases based on actual user interest and feedback.
I do have the same problem and was not able to solve it using the workaround described by Stephen Spencer.
In summary, I had a profile before on a PC account with a monthly subscription. I just bought a PS3 and I want to use the same profile and the same subscription.
Can someone help me on this?

has there been developed a solution now? This is really a pain. I do not want an account with the same email as PS3. PS3 has just forced me to to use a new email because I changed country and had to create a new acount. So I used an old almst non active email to make them happy.

How do i link my existing Mubi account with my newly created PS3-mubi account? Or is there a way (that i couldn’t find) to login with a different account on the PS3?
