Are you into the footy?

Heads up to NYC folks that the original release Technicolor 35mm of VERTIGO screening at Museum of the Moving Image tonight at 6 is probably the most beautiful film I’ve ever watched. Quite different sonically and visually from any other releases of it that I’ve seen (with no frickin’ stupid, booming Dobly gun-shots, I might add).
Another heads up to NYC area folks that MUBI’s own BASTARDS OF HITCH film series begins tomorrow at 92YTribeca and runs through most of August.

Also, of note is the killer reggae film fest beginning at BAM tonight.

CUTTER’S WAY at New York City’s 92YTRIBECA tonight in their Jeff Bridges Before The Dude series. Gorgeous, haunting, drunken, woozy unreleased score by Jack Nitszche.

LA JETÉE/ 12 MONKEYS DOUBLE FEATURE!
Come for a very special double feature with the classic Chris Marker avant-garde short, La Jetée, followed by the Terry Gilliam film that it heavily influenced!
Both films presented in 35mm. special $10 admission, $9 for members
TCM Road to Hollywood is bringing Rio Bravo to my beloved Texas Theater in April.
Special guests: TCM host Ben Mankiewicz and Angie Dickinson!
The historic State Theater had Mary Poppins last night.
As good, they finally got the new Jaglom flick Just 45Mins from Broadway. I went to the premiere last year
it was great

Meg, considering you’ve got the Astor over there, I’d say you’ve always got goodies coming your way!
