Jose! Lucky man! Ugh I wish I had seen this post earlier, I would have asked you to ask her what her feelings are about the indigenous South American people of Argentina, her portrayals of them in her films (especially in La Mujer sin Cabeza) are very interesting. Surely she must have some strong opinions on them, their influence in the culture, and their role in society.

I love hearing the complex opinions on indigenous South Americans by South Americans of European descent who live privileged lives.

Martel is definitely one of the most important artists, thinkers, filmmakers, etc. today who is ethically thinking about and questioning new production and distribution structures.
Forget Iñárritu and del Toro.
