I have a Rode NTG2 condenser mic. I’ve also used an Audio-Technica AT897. They are both very good and affordable. I’m not sure what you mean by “easily editable”. Do you mean clarity? If so, you would not be disappointed by either of these mics.

I mentioned “easily editable” if anyone mentioned a mic system in which image and sound were recorded separately, and I had to mix the two in post.
By affordable, how much do you mean? I’m running on a low budget right now and can’t spend much if I ever want to finish my short film.
