The Shooting and Ride in the Whirlwind
What David Ehrensteins said, plus the rest of Hellman’s filmography, except for Silent Night Deadly Night 3: Better Watch Out, which I would save for last. You can’t really go wrong any of the other Hellmans though, and Cockfighter and Road to Nowhere should please anyone who adores Two-Lane Blacktop.
Thanks for the recommendations, guys.
Yeah, I think I’ll go with The Shooting and Ride in the Whirlwind next – from what I’ve read, I definitely want to check them out. I’ve not heard too much about Cockfighter and the others, but I’ll go for them after I’ve seen these two.

Of all Monte Hellman’s work, I’ve only seen Two-Lane Blacktop (which I adore).
I know there’s already a general Monte Hellman thread, but I’m looking for opinions on where to go after Blacktop — any recommendations would be appreciated.
