Ah, yes:

Do you think The Graduate has an ambiguous ending?
I would say the final shot means something like “What now?” but unsure about it.
Last scene in Alain Resnais’ Wild Grass.
^ Beginning where, with them boarding the plane?
Yeah, the entire film was enigmatic.
The child wondering what she would eat as a bunny.
Definitely enigmatic, and very funny.
Barton Fink
Ooh, seconding Barton Fink. My favorite Coen, definitely.
Just posting here so I can find it later and watch all of these.
Yeah. Third Barton Fink. And second The Graduate. Taxi Driver?
I’m being so obvious ahah.

[Safe]
Well, the final shot of Cronenberg’s THE FLY isn’t enigmatic by any means (DRAMA: OVER), but the level of emotional devastation on display is pretty overwhelming to the point of confusion.
@SLEEVES
Kisho Kurokawa’s Cure is a good enigmatic final shot.
@MATT PARKS
Kubrick’s The Shining is another great one.
It is hard to believe that no one has mentioned Antonioni’s Blow Up.
Safe!
I loved that movie when I saw it many years ago. It was quite mysterious I think. Good one :-)
I found the end of The Rapture very anguishing, and also mysterious.
