I don’t hate any actors. Every time I’ve said in the past that I hated somebody (Adam Sandler, Vin Diesel, Kristen Stewart) I saw them in something I thought they were perfectly fine in, and I had to revise my opinion. So now I’m willing to give just about anybody a chance.
Except Martin Lawrence. Fuck that guy.

And that’s about it, honestly. It’s pretty hard for me to HATE an actor. I agree with Josh H: I start to hate the person and then he/she surprises me. (Aka like Kristen Stewart. She’s pure shit in the Twilight films but she has done plenty of good stuff outside of it. And Nicolas Cage. ADORE him in Raising Arizona and because of that one movie I just can’t hate him.)

I had no idea that there was so much Nicholas Cage hate. I here it from people that aren’t really into film, who only see him in roles that probably are very worthy of hate (based on the trailers I’ve seen, The Family Man, Bangkok Dangerous, Drive Angry, etc. etc., etc.). But I thought that fellow film lovers were generally OK with films like Leaving Las Vegas, Bad Lieutenant: PoCNO, Matchstick Men, Raising Arizina, Adaptation, etc. Interesting. Though I will say that I am still very much on the fence about Wild at Heart.
I typically dislike child actors, but I particularly hate that kid in Shane. Jesus. “Shaaaaaane!!!”
And I think that it goes without saying that both of the Anakin Skywalkers in the prequels were awful.

@Nathan: “Keanu Reaves” I agree that its been a while since he has been in anything remotely good, but do you dislike his early roles too? I kind of liked him in My Own Private Idaho and River’s Edge. And I personally like the Bill and Ted films, though they aren’t a great argument for Keanu’s ability. Still want to check out Permanent Record.
I will agree with you about Drew Barrymore though. Aside from ET, I typically find her fairly irritating.
Hate is a pretty strong word for me, but there are a number of actors and actresses I simply cannot abide for the most part.
@Ruby Stevens: I begin by offering thanks to you for your negative take on Danny Kaye, who drives me up a freakin’ wall. I’ve always felt deficient somehow because so many other people I’ve encountered seem to think Kaye is some kind of comedy genius. (The only reason I’m not also thanking Sarah Karina-Bogart is that she’s my daughter. I knew already that she has no use for Danny Kaye!)
Other actors I avoid as much as possible include Ernest Borgnine, Martin Lawrence (I so agree, Josh H!), Tracy Morgan, and Red Skelton. A special spot is reserved in my Hall of Shame for Mickey Rooney, whose painfully offensive mugging as Mr. Yunioshi in Breakfast at Tiffany’s almost ruins the entire film for me. Rooney is appalling as well in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, wherein he plays Puck as a braying jackass.
As for actresses, I find it difficult to sit through movies featuring Loretta Young or June Allyson. Almost equally annoying is Greer Garson, with the exception of her role in Random Harvest. Just the other day, though, I caught a glimpse of Garson as she mangled the essence of Eleanor Roosevelt in Sunrise at Campobello. After about a minute, I screamed inwardly in horror and clicked the remote to something else.

there are some real haters here. Cary Grant? Gérard Depardieu? Are people here on crack? And what’s with the hate? Why is it so important to hate on an actor? Is Nicolas Cage that bad? I just don’t see it. He’s been in some truly great films. What’s the deal? I don’t like Christian Bale all the time, I’d hardly say I hate the guy. He has nice roles and bad roles, sometimes he overacts too much but Hate? Really? No. The actors I don’t like I tend not to see his films, that easy.
