Not to be that guy but….

I cry always at the end of Babel. I think it might be the music, and also just the emotion of every actor. It’s a brilliant piece of filmmaking.
I cried in Up, but I’ve only seen it once, and that’s not exactly what one might call a surprise.
Lost in Translation’s ending gets me every time. It is such a love that cannot be beaten, but it has to end (for the time being, at elast).
Also, Synecdoche, New York grabs me at its ending, as well.
Savvy
I cried in a film once- some joker threw a tear gas canister into the theater…
Well there none that get me every time but the ones with the best track record are:
The Notebook
Brokeback Mountain
The 25th Hour
Braveheart
Chasing Amy
Grave of the Fireflies
and so far, Up
i’m a tough guy so i never cry
but ikiru never fails to make me tear up a bit
Owen Wilson’s death in The Life Aquatic got me.
Dear Zachary got me….pretty much balled for the last half or more.
I answered in another thread with the same subject… a while ago.

thats pretty much it. Lost in Translation sometimes.
I think that Jesus and Mary Chain song has more to do with me tearing up over Lost in Translation than the film itself does. Has a movie without music ever made you cry?
Cinema Paradiso for sure
-Bergman’s filmography
-Hannah and Her Sisters
-Ordet
Those are the main ones, but I am a big crier in movies. I don’t mean full on sobbing but most great movies at least make my eyes water.
L’enfant
Secrets and Lies
The Mission
sex sex sex sex sex sex, not a movie, but sex sex sex
I’m a failure at crying during movies. I always want to but never seem to be able to and I end up feeling like I have missed something. Any tips on crying during movies?
Born on the Fourth of July
Lars and the Real Girl
First episode of Twin Peaks where the Palmer family find out that Laura is dead. It’s only about 10 minutes in, don’t think there’s anything that’s made me cry faster than that.
Anyone that has seen Forbidden Games had to feel like shit by the end of that film, I think I may have shed a tear or two the first time I seen it.
Amores Perros
Magnolia
The Wrestler
A Tree Grows In Brooklyn
feast of love. tae guk ki. lars and the real girl. lust caution. wild side. home song stories.
Grave of the Fireflies
American History X (Danny!)
The Fall (Alexandria!)
The Fountain
Ikiru, Wall-E
I was also tearing up during the first 15mins of Up.
Ikiru
for me(recently):
The Red Shoes (half way through the 20 minute dream sequence)
Mulholland Dr.
Yi Yi
Husbands, Faces, A Woman Under the Influence, The Killing of a Chinese Bookie
Grave of the Fireflies
Dancer in the Dark (fuck. I feel overtly and tragically manipulated by this film)
and adam, I believe you’re forgetting that you cried in Werkmeister Harmonies
Cara
There’s always that one movie that gets you, be it something really intense or, i dont know, Bambi. I know I definitely cried at Lion King, like, a year ago, and I think my mom cried at Ice Age…. so no shame. I cried at the Dark Knight the first time I saw it, and Grave of the Fireflies
