High Fidelity.
I am unsure of the definition of the word “pissed”. However, I don’t care, and my choice is “Kill Bill” – nothing helps more than stylish cold-dished revenge and buckets of blood.
Blade Runner – The androids are pissed that they are going to die. Deckerd is pissed because his job is dismal and unending.
Seconded:
Do the Right Thing – shows that when anger gets out of hand needless destruction and suffering follow
High Fidelity
Oldboy and probably the other two films in the vengeance trilogy
taxi driver
“deserve’s got nothin’ to do with it.” Oh yeah," Unforgiven" always makes me feel a little better.
Collateral
Seeing two “homies” get blasted always manages to cheer me up.
Perhaps my interpretation of movies to watch in a ‘certain state’ is different, but in my day we all enjoyed watching any Hope/Crosby movie, like Road to Rio when, shall we say ‘intoxicated’, to get the real meaning – if you know what I mean.
Wild at Heart.
Or pretty much anything with fight-dancing to speed metal.
Naked, Meantime, Happy-Go-Lucky, and basically anything else that destroys heavily held concepts of how to live, what’s important, and is by Mike Leigh. Actually alot of pissed off films come out of the UK. I like Alan Clarke, and Lindsay Anderson movies for that, as well.
Aoaijea-I love Mike Leigh but after seeing Happy Go Lucky I was pissed. Hated this movie and it’s insufferable heroine. Made mewant to see Falling Down again.
XXX, and not the Vin Diesel one.
“Glengarry Glen Ross”…..nothing like cosmic injustice boiled down to one filthy office to make me feel better,
“Scum” by Alan Clarke, either the banned BBC version or Clarke’s own feature remake. Makes you loathe small-time authority with a passion. A nice release.
“The Shining”, if you are having woman troubles.
The Marx Brothers, especially “Duck Soup,” “A Night at the Opera,” “A Day at the Races,” and “Horse Feathers.” Nothing will cheer you up faster.
after life, Miracle In Milan or Yi Yi, most things Ozu or Satyajit Ray. They always remind me that ‘this too shall pass,’ whatever the ‘this’ might happen to be.
“Pissed” in the UK means drunk, and in that state two perfect films to watch are Alexandro Jodorowsky’s The Holy Mountain and Frank Zappa’s 200 Motels – because you won’t care if they make sense or not.
Yes! more films to get pissed at. I love the list and recommendations people are bringing. I forgot to mention Seconds by John Frankenheimer. Clautophobia is good when you’re pissed.
I second Taxi Driver and There Will Be Blood.
The Evil Dead and also most zombie flicks are good for this mood.
For me though it has to be A Clockwork Orange.
Pissed at the world?
Well then just drink some moloko and rape and kill and soak in some lovely lovely Ludwig van along with Alex!
I’m gonna have to give kudos to Eli Lamb and Velleam with High Fidelity and Do The Right Thing, and go with those
Fight Club
Fatal Attraction pissed me off when it came out and still does to this day. Don’t know if I would want to watch it if I was having a bad day. Usually when I have a sucky day I want to watch something uplifting to get me outta my funk.
5 Fingers of Death
and Teen Wolf…
Falling Down
I have to nominate any of the Die Hard flicks as a generic response. Anyone who is pissed will feel a little better. But a personal response would be either Dazed and Confused or porn. They always bring my spirits up.
Repulsion
“SIDDARTHA”…
Perdita Durango!
Withnail & I. American Werewolf in London. Aliens.
Lost Highway, I think. When that guy takes the coffeetable in his forehead it’s like an orgasm.

It happens once in a while…you’re not feeling well, you’re having a bad day. Frustration sinks in. You plunge into the abyss of a film that captures your feelings at that very moment.
A film becomes a necessary tool of catharsis.
Here is a list of films that did certain things and provided a more enjoying experience when seen in a bad state, try it.
1) There Will Be Blood.
Something about the character’s wrath towards humanity that gains power while watching it. If you’ve ever hated people as often, the scene where he tells of his nature to the man who would betray him is indicative of how that hate is fueled into his methodology for life.
2) Do The Right Thing.
Pissed at new yorkers? watch this. Nothing captures the big apple like this one does.
2) Fatal Attraction.
Great movie to watch when slimy Michael Douglas gets into more and more trouble because of his actions. The original ending is a hoot.
3) 2001, A Space Odyssey.
I find watching this movie in a bored or mental state to be more absorbing. And enjoyable. Suddenly, HAL becomes the bad guy you live to hate.
4) Raging Bull.
Oh everyone’s pissed in that movie.
5) Irreversible / I Stand Alone.
Have the incredible gift of unnerving the viewer when happy, engage and release when upset.
Sorry about the post, don’t think for a minute it’s supposed to be serious.
What movies do you see when…you know, upset?
