I have a PS3. I do not worship Cameron/Nolan, I just want to be their slaves as a way to say thank you for the amazing movies they’ve made. You have to admit that Avatar was pretty amazing for a first-time director.
…what? First-time director?
James Cameron made at least 7 films before Avatar.
Not true. Avatar was his first movie. Look it up.
Right, fischerprice cake lemon curry microwave oven baseball frying pan

I can’t even tell if that’s sarcasm…
Why would the truth be sarcastic? You guys are total Avatards.
You’re a ninny.
Okay, this makes sense now.
Avatards are the worst.
Y’all just got Shotzied!!!
Considering you can stream neither Cameron nor Nolan, what would be the point.
@ Shotzi
That’s pretty insightful for a first-time poster. Congrats.
Hey, most of the access I have to Mubi (that is weird to type out) is from my PS3 and although the last response to threads is cut off from the screen, I still use it. Every movie I’ve streamed off this site I’ve watched it on my PS3.
The options for movies on the Playstation store are pretty limited to mostly popular new releases so the addition of Mubi will be a nice contrast.
Is there a date yet? PS3 site says October.
Has anything been said about the United States maybe getting this too? I would like to worship Cameron/Nolan from the comfort of my PS3 as well.
Hey guys,
MUBI will launch this thursday on PS3! Here are more informations:
http://www.hookedgamers.com/blogs/chrispriestman/2010/10/18/launch_for_mubi_on_the_ps3_this_week.html
Awesome! I’m surprised Efe hasn’t mentioned that all PS3 users get unlimited free streaming movies on Mubi for the first month ; )
I would’ve thought that this would’ve been officially announced if it was out this week (tomorrow)?
Hopefully this doesn’t damage the base of this site. I’m all for getting more out of my playstation, though…
These are great news … can’t wait.
<<(…) that all PS3 users get unlimited free streaming movies on Mubi for the first month>>
Is it true?

First I’ve heard/ read of it.
it doesn’t say it will be available in the United States?
or Canada?
@BODINE and LE SCRAMEUSTACHE
Taken from the EU blog:
“So, to begin with it will be available in the UK, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Australia and New Zealand”
no mention of if/ when US/ Canada gets it.
Unlimited free streaming and my PS3 is hundreds of miles away. Brilliant.
Did you find anything about MUBI on you PS3? I didn’t. Not at the Store (the german AND the uk store) and not at the XMB. :-(
Any Ideas?
I haven’t found anything either. I was expecting either a download link in the Store (like Vidzone) or a system update with the MUBI icon on the video section of the XMB (like Netflix for the US users). I hope they release something till the end of the day so that my weekend can be a bit better :)

Yeah, from what I understand it’ll be a downloadable app similar to Vidzone.
Also, the launch party was supposedly last night, and when MUBI was announced in the EU blog, they said it was due October. Seeing as there’s one store update left for this month (next Wednesday) perhaps it will come then?
I hope Sony doesn’t make us wait for the next store update. It’s absurd that nowadays we still have to wait for weekly updates, in a world where things change by the second.
mofo
looks like mubi is coming to the playstation 3, you’ll be able stream movies, but i’m not sure if there will be other features
so now i think we can expect an influx of cameron/nolan worshippers signing up for the site :(
anyone else have any more info on this?
