Significantly dumbed down and insulting to the intelligence of the core base of users on this site.
I preferred “The Auteurs”- a momentous term in the history of cinema. “Mubi” is disgustingly soulless, profit-driven, and alienates the very people who believe in what this site is about…..
Boo.
count me as 99 (i assume the above poster, Bartley Powers, is 98).
I prefer Auteurs.com
auteurs.com for me too.
Totally confused about the name mubi. It’s not an acronym? huh? is someone pulling our collective leg?

Please, for me to count your vote you have to make it clear what you’re voting for AND update the number next to your vote. If you don’t, you ruin the counting of everyone below you.
Look at LAIKA and RHERVAG above, they have it right.

MUBI makes me think of a third-rate mp3 player or some obscure governmental agency. Definitely preferred theauteurs.com (120).

How about:
Doopie
Jubo

auteurs for all (readers/viewers are auteurs, too, you know). It’s not an exclusive title, if that’s all you’re worried about. Just expand the definition of auteurs… it’s a great name!!! MUBI sucks !
