Bad Lieutenant!
An Education!
Jean-Marie Straub’s Le Streghe, femmes entre elles
Guy Maddin’s Night Mayor
Bruno Dumont’s Hadewijch
Atom Egoyan’s Chloe
Alain Resnais’ Les Herbes folles
Mika Kaurismäki’s The House of Branching Love

Damn. Wish I could be there.
add:
Harmony Korine’s Trash Dumpers
Jean Luc Godard’s Une Castrophe
Johnnie To’s Vengeance
George A. Romero’s Survival of the Dead
Pedro Almovodar’s Broken Embraces
Tony Jaa’s Ong Baak 2: The Beginning
Tasi Ming-Liang’s Face
I believe Korine’s new film is entitled Trash Humpers, not Dumpers. But wow, I didn’t even know it was premiering at Toronto! That’s exciting.
Isn’t Une Catastrophe only a minute long?
Une catastrophe (Jean-Luc Godard, 2008)
Gaspar Noe’s Enter the void
I’m looking forward to Jealousy, Because I Can’t Be There, starring me :)
Broken Embraces.
Une catastrophe.
Puccini Conservato.
Basically what everyone else said.
Harmony Korine returns to Gummo territory in this handheld video of a loser-gang cult-freak collective who do antisocial things in a non-narrative way, except for the song-and-dance numbers.
About Trash Humpers
I think it’s cool that no one- no one- knew he was even making this.
Goddamn, I love me some Ong Bak
you can see the full list of films on our Toronto Film Festival Page (the must see films float to the top of the list)
@Edward, do you know if Haneke’s white ribbon will be at Tiff?
Excellent work guys! Thank you all so much.
I would also add Valery Todorovsky’s Hipsters (Stilyagi)
Kenrick Block
I am planning to go to the Toronto International Film Festival this year, but I’m not entirely sure what films I should go see when I’m there. I’ve got a few in my mind, but I was wondering what others on this site might be looking forward to.
Anyway, here’s the link to the list so far: http://www.tiff.net/filmsandschedules/filmlist/default.aspx
Thanks again.
