“Do none of you take into account his actions?”

Why should I? I want to know.

Good art is good art. Sorry, I hate to say it but that’s how it is.

I would imagine the Blu-ray will be region-locked. A real shame if this turns out to be the case.

Has no one seen the documentary, Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired? It seems like the people causing an uproar about Polanski are the people who don’t know anything about the case. The victim has repeatedly pleaded for him to be forgiven and to be allowed back into the country. He did serve his jail sentence. It was only after he served his time in jail that the corrupt judge decided it wasn’t good enough.

It’s very bizarre what some people argue in spite of the facts. It reminds me of the same people who claim OJ didn’t do it.

^ Great documentary. Yeah, its easy for people to judge when they don’t know the facts.

I don’t understand this thread. What about Repulsion, again?

I had the awful EPI DVD of Repulsion and replaced it with the better UK Anchor Bay (Region 2) DVD. Now I will be replacing that one with the sure to be even better CC Edition. And Criterion, if you are listening, there is nothing I would like more than to replace my copies of Rosemary’s Baby and The Tenant with beautifully restored CC prints. (The Tenant has some amazing Sven Nyquist cinematography that is totally lost in the existing DVD transfer.) These three movies are my favorite Polanski films. I call them “the apartment trilogy” as all three feature protagonists slowly losing it in creepy, oppressive apartment buildings.
