I have noticed errors in the subtitles on several Criterion DVD’s and it isn’t that big of a deal. We must remember that the people who work at Criterion are human and make mistakes.
Ahem.
Huh. All this time I thought they were Lectroids from the 8th dimension.
The end is nigh!
Let’s be real. Criterion clearly only hires gods (or at least some species of supermen) to work there. Since even Prometheus himself wouldn’t be able to dupe the gods of Criterion, it must have been some type of Antichrist who infiltrated their ranks and made this egregious error. Hence the end times.
It is a big deal. All that money and they don’t know the difference between “it’s” and “its”? And as mentioned, it isn’t like this is the first mistake or isolated events.
Small things sliding leads to failure.
They have had this issue on their older DVD’s as well. It isn’t a recent problem.
You should see some of the mistakes on some of the lower quality foreign films I have. I’ve seen some doozies.
Has anyone had a chance to see the blu-ray version? Just wondering what it looks like.
All the reviews I’ve read people have been creaming over it.
Yeah, I’ve read them too and they seem to have done that on pretty much all the Criterion discs whether they warrant the praise or not.

I seriously thought I’d enter this thread to find The Tree of Life trailer.
=(
Drunken Father Figure of Old
There is an error in the subtitles of Jean Narboni’s interview. They use it’s when they should have used its. I think this must be a sign of the end of the world.
