One Film for Every Letter

I don’t know why, but I thought that this might be fun. Pick your favorite film for each letter:

A: Army of Shadows
B: Barry Lyndon
C: Citizen Kane
D: Dr. Strangelove
E: Eight and a Half
F: Fight Club
G: Goodfellas
H: Hard Boiled
I: Inglourious Basterds
J: Jackie Brown
K: Kind Hearts and Coronets
L: La Dolce Vita
M: Manhattan
N: Network
O: Once Upon a Time in the West
P: Peeping Tom
Q: Quiz Show
R: Rosemary’s Baby
S: Sunset Blvd.
T: Taxi Driver
U: Unforgiven
V: Vertigo
W: Wings of Desire
X: X-Men: First Class (not a great film, but very few films begin with the letter x)
Y: Young Frankenstein
Z: Zodiac

Actually, I adore Zodiac, and Young Frankenstein is pretty hilarious. I would say that the hardest were H, I, J, K, Q and X for letters that had very few great movies, and the hardest to pick were D (it was painful to have to choose between Dr. Strangelove, Do the Right Thing, and Double Indemnity), and, though it wasn’t hard to choose, B has an unbelievable amount of great movies (Barry Lyndon, Barton Fink, Breathless, Blowup, Blade Runner, Being There, Badlands etc.)

I didn’t mean the three last movies sucked, it was just too easy and too few to choose from. Hell yes, Zodiac is a masterpiece. I think this topic would be more fun if it was about underrated movies from each letter instead of best.

I was trying to make all of them exceptional movies, 10s-outta-10s, if-you-will.

OK, ok, I know Ice Station Zebra is questionable, but I like it. And I really wanted to put Yog: Monster From Space to see if anybody remembers it.
