I came across this site today by chance whilst looking at images of Carrivaggio paintings to absorb the use of dark reds in some of his works. I’m also a major fan of Francis Bacon. I am a painter myself and have enjoyed reading and looking through these pages today. I want to find out more about the story behind Gotfried Helwin’s painting that there seemed to be no title with and the extraordinary Wounded Angel by Simberg. Hope to speak to some of you soon.
