This just made my night/month/year!!!

I am so excited. If only I had a hdtv and blu-ray player to see THAT transfer. If this isn’t an excuse to get one then I don’t know what is.

Now I hope they get Alice In The Cities, Kings of The Road, The Brothers Skladanowsky, The State of Things, False Move, The Goalkeeper’s Fear of the Penalty, Summer In The City.

This is one of the most emotionally moving experiences in the history of cinema—it’s easily the greatest film of the 1980s (that cultural wasteland of a decade), one of the greatest American films (next to McCabe & Mrs. Miller), and one of my top 10 favorite films of all time. Existential and universal themes, tender and true performances, vivid and exquisite cinematography, nostalgic and haunting score—perhaps the ultimate road movie (along with The Passenger).

Kudos Criterion! I’ve been waiting for this for a long time.

I’ve got the screenplay of Paris, Texas. Bought it years ago in college…

That cover is awesome. I love this movie very much. Don’t go to Paris, Texas though. There’s a resurgence of the KKK!

This film, Paris-Texas, has a very special place in my heart. I fell in love with the love of my life (up until now) in a middle of a scene of this movie. So I will never forget it. Marco Montreal Quebec
