@josh incoherent may be but this is truth ,people here really don’t see cinema from purity and dont even understand how actually industry works
I live in a relativly small town in Montana. If you saw my options for movies on a friday night you would go bat shit crazy. It’s a relief to me to know that there are better films out there and when I finally get to see one, the pay off is tremendous. People have a right an opinion I won’t question yours but I certainly don’t have to agree with it.

@drew even i dont make films for general public ,my friends even dont like my films ,they say its too self centred ,but even then i understand industry as a whole and i have respect for each and every film maker ,i dont live inside a small square glass like u.i know that there is a world out there.

Rishi, I personally just find your assertions to be unsubstantiated and incoherent. It seems to me that you are just upset that some people on this site don’t enjoy mainstream cinema. I find it incredible that you would be surprised by this when the site is called “The Auteurs”. I for one credit Spielberg for inspiring my love for film. I’ve seen Jaws over 100 times.
just after 30 mins of posting this thread ,you guys just proved what i was doubting ,that people here are too self centered and they just love themselves forget about cinema .you guys wont even able to understand in your whole life that what cinema actually is .i joined auteurs actually to see various people discussing over cinema and respecting and criticizing each and every film maker .but no way people literally suck here .may be the intention behind making this site was to see and discuss cinema purely ,but f**** no u guys just dont care ,i like this ,oh u like this ,this sucks get out of here . i can bet on that ,that you guys read and watch movies all your life but you wont able to make a sincle good film ,which has a potential to even entertain.

you guys need to view cinema from different perspective ,your views are good to become a critic but not to become a film maker. if you want to be one ,your comments lacks purity ,as an critic you guys are correct that some these box office hits lacks lots of things and may be not that artistically driven but u need to understand that these film offer or give something to general public which no other films offer .get out of the self centered brain and think about different class of audiences how many in your neighborhood likes to see rohmer films or are they even aware about that .so yes as an critic u guys are correct but you guys can’t be a good film makers.thats for sure
