Hi!
Let me suggest you this italian festival. I hope anyone of you will be intrigued and interested. For any information ( forms included) let me know and contact me. Thanks!
“PerSe Visioni – Visual Art Exhibition” realized by the cultural
association Bachi da Setola, under the sponsorship of Italian Ministry of
Youth, of Regione Puglia – Assessorato al Mediterraneo and Comune di
Polignano a Mare, aims to analyze the relationship of youth with the life
setting, trying to understand what catches their eye and to analyze
different observation techniques. For this third edition, the theme is
founded on the “Emotional Geography”, a theory by Giuliana Bruno,
philosopher and teacher in Harvard College. The Emotional Geography tries
to discuss about the “space” through the sensations that the “space”
produce, en forcing the convention that here is a strong connection
between sight and site, seeing and travelling, motion and emotion. These
concepts lead Giuliana Bruno to consider cartography, architecture,
cinema, design and fashion as arts necessarily connected one with each
other, because they are space graphic arts, way to re-create the emotion
and narrative space: “they engrave the space using a graph which marks the
love to places”. So, as well as you can go through a dress, travel through
a movie, an architectonic sculpture, a map, the ego relates and correlates
with the space and the space becomes “an experience”, colored by floating
emotions of our bodies. The choice to use again this theory is not casual:
indeed by it it’s possible to express ourselves in a multifaceted way,
through geographic, emotional and artistic contexts.
The theme suggested by “PerSe Visioni – Visual Art Exhibition” will be
treated by the realization of a monotypes workshop leaded by Sabine
Raetsch, German artist from the cultural association
Offener-Kunstverein-Potsdam (Berlino), and by a short films exhibition,
supported by Milano Film Festival, Roma Europa Web Factory, Userfarm,
Palazzo Pino Pascali, Associazione Sguardi, Panagea France and Residui
Teatro.
The projects includes a final event, two days lasting, from the 26th to
the 27th August 2011, during which will be exposed all the artworks. The
night will be composed by: the exhibition of artworks realized during the
Street Art Workshop, the temporary show in Pino Pascali Contemporary Art
Museum, the screening of selected short movies and a music concert.
