Philippine Movie Database is born.
In our high hopes to provide a comprehensive information regarding FIlipino or Pinoy movies and filmography, PMDB was born. We aim to give light and credit to amazing people in the movie industry from artists, directors, characters and cast to the smallest details we find possible online and via sources and resources we could not disclose for purposes of creating a two way relationship with them.
Although most of the information that you will see here may also be found online via searching, we promise to give you more than what you expect in our movies database adding up some crunch to the film reviews we will feature here as well as fearless comments so that we could help improve the current film and movie industry in the Philippines. If you want it, we’ve got it. Just ask ye shall receive. This means that if you didn’t find what you are looking for, you can make a request from us using our contact form which by the way and by the making of this initial debut post is not yet available. We will have as soon as we could probably in a week or so more.
Rare as they are, we hope to feature here different indie films only seen, never before seen and watched here in the Philippines and abroad. Visit PMDB regularly for more information of the latest and new movies today.
Good luck with this project. I have found that when searching for information about Filipino DVDs, there isn’t too much information available on the internet, at least in comparison to many other national cinemas. Of course, these things are usually driven by commercial concerns, and there doesn’t seem to be much interest in Filipino cinema outside the country, even among Filipinos in other countries.
