Please help me find some good microbudget films.

So far a few micro budget films I like include ‘Habit’ and ‘Bomb The System’. Yeah I like micro budget films with big budget sensibilities, IE genre elements, like action, supernatural, special effects. Though I am open to the standard in this budget range, IE dialogue heavy indie drama fare such as the recent ‘Newlyweds’.

Thinking about watching Buffalo 66. Any other recommendations? Thanks!

Plug myself before recommending someone else’s work. In all seriousness, that film’s a thing of beauty. No-budget viral filmmaking, come forth! :D

Primer is usually the go-to. $7,000 sci-fi thriller.

Then of course there’s El Mariachi. Also $7,000

Check out Sean Baker’s films. I started with his 2008 feature, “Prince of Broadway” which I enjoyed a great deal.

“Take Out”, made four years earlier, had a reported budget of $3,000 and though it played in very few cities besides New York, it garnered exceptional reviews from “The New Yorker”, “The Village Voice” and the NYT.

( … and, The Little Fugitive is a superior choice)
