I’ve bought Beastie Boys Anthology and Royal Tenenbaums from the Barnes and Noble Sale. However on opening them the booklet (poster in the Beastie’s case) was not there. I remember something about Traffic Criterions also being produced by another company and thats why the spine covers were different. Is it a similar case here and the other company didn’t bother with the booklets? Or have I just been ripped off. Are there others like this?
Just looked on Criterion’s website, and I don’t think the Beastie Boys Anthology is even supposed to come with a booklet… it’s not listed on the special features, anyway. Royal Tennenbaums also doesn’t have a booklet, although it is supposed to come with a “Collectible insert including Eric Anderson’s drawings…” did you not get that? If you didn’t I’m sure you could contact Criterion and ask them to send you one… or at least they would probably tell you what’s up.
EDIT: Whoops, just re-read your post. Yeah, I don’t know why yours didn’t come with a poster, but I think you should definitely contact Criterion! Let me know what they say!
If they’re supposed to have booklets, I recommend emailing firstname.lastname@example.org and explaining the situation, and they should be able to help you.
Cheers for advice. The reason I hadn’t contacted Criterion is I didn’t think they be much help it might be a stupid obvious reason but I emailed them and got a rather prompt reply. Apparently some dvd’s have been sent out from the factory without inserts due a screw up and they are hopefully going to be replacing any missing ones. I guess other people must have the same problem then.
Anyone know if Autumn Sonata is supposed to have an insert?
I just checked, and my copy does. It’s a crappy little fold-out insert that’s basically the credits for the movie and DVD.
