Midnight is co-directed with a male director but it’s the only film I’ve seen of Daniela Thomas and I liked it.
I added two more to the above and there are 20 films now.
Oh, yeah, I totally forgot but meant to include Sadie Benning. I dig her work!
Quasi at the Quackadero! Ha ha, very good, Herbie.

Please read before submitting
2 years ago i conducted a poll of users’ favourite films by female directors. People have come and gone here and new films will have been seen in the time since that poll, so I thought it might be interesting to see what a similar poll will come up with now.
The Rules
You can submit between 10 and 20 favourite films by female directors. Less than 10 will not be accepted, sorry. There is no need to submit more than 10, so any further additions will depend on your level of enthusiasm for the extra choices.
Each film selected will receive 1 point. I thought about a graded scoring system according to preference but that becomes complicated and never quite satisfactory. You can still put in preferential order, even though that will not impact on the points
Please give the film title, either the original language title (in “English” script, like this post) or its English language title, or both. Please also give the director’s name. You can also add the year and country if you wish; of course this can help identification too.
You may pick films co-directed by a woman along with a male director
There is a thread Championing Films by Women, which might be useful for adding comments about any film(s) selected
The poll will close on 31st July.
Because there is only a very short edit function on posts here, be careful with your selection- don’t rush to submit and then want to alter or add to it later; your original list is the one which will be counted!
