Le Butcherettes is one of those bands that I wish would record their shows and put up live videos with decent sound. I wanted to find a good live version of “All You See in Me is Death”, but here it is from the album:
But I did find this acoustic session where Teri sat down to play some of her songs for NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert:
for sherlock
love this album! <3
Dirtybee, yeah Russian Circles. I’ve not listened to that one much, but I have their third album, Geneva. I don’t know their newest one at all. Do you listen to it; is it good?
@Downbylaw, yes, l’ve listened that album much (well, all of their work, accept the newest, 4th, after Geneva, album’s name is Empros) and l love it. It’s slightly different than Geneva, in a sense that is a bit faster and sound is “heavier”. Youngblood is probably their the most “aggressive” song, but l love guitar-drums there.
And, when it’s about postrock, i don’t know how familiar you’re with Mogwai, but that is something l would recommend you
I don’t care what anybody else says, this may be the greatest song of any kind ever conceived:
Shit, another effin’ double post.
happy valentine’s!
(and for finland being in the cup)
Dirtybee, Ok thanks, I’ll look into that. And no, I’m not very familiar with Mogwai, but I have bumped into them here and there. I suppose that when I give them a serious listen, I’ll probably like them.
DOWNBYLAW — Le Butchurettes… wow, they are amazing. Artistic and beautifully scary all in one ego, I like it!
Josh, yeah amazing indeed. As you would expect, she is something to see live. Although I think she could probably be intense just sitting and reading a book.
I didn’t know that Prolapse. Pretty cool. Here’s an album from just a few years earlier that I used to listen to a lot:
