I will but i doubt I have much to worry about
Star Trek belongs to that list Den…it’s as stupid as 500 Days of Summer was.
(even if the love duo was the only positive element)
I dont see 500 on that list either maybe I am ridicuous but I don’t see either of those making it
well,take anything you want,Star Trek,500 Days,Amelia,Nine,they’re all the same.
not that i want this
I think Up will be nominated for animated and best picture
also up in the air, precious, the hurt locker, inglorious basterds, this is it!, Invictus, Julie and Julia, The lovely bones and nine
I think precious or This is It! will win.
I liked Star Trek. Good popcorn movie.
Clint can’t be given a third statue, can he? Rob Marshall, maybe? Katherine Bigelow? I’m not hating on Clint. Long time fan. Just sayin’…
It will be Peter Jackson or Nora Ephron
Jackson will be rewarded with nomination for his return to smaller personal stories after the trilogy. Ephron if she is nominated (a lot of people love Julie and Julia) will win because Eastwood (who will be nominated is not gonna win a third) Marshall (not deserving of a second) wont and the precious director is too green. Hollywood will rally behind Ephron who has been in this business for ever. Nicholson, it was stated at the time, campaigned for Polanski to win for The Pianist. he will probably do likewise for Ephron who he has done a movie (heartburn) with.
oh man,i can’t believe Ephron will be over-praised by those blood-sucking executives, one of the worst female directors around this globe…
you may be right but I have a hunch
I forgot animated film:
Winner:
Coraline
Nominees:
The Fantastic Mr. Fox
Up
(if 2 more)
Ponyo
The Princess and the Frog
Ralch,i hear they decided for 5 animation nominees this year,if i’m correct,so it seems your hunch is right
(but i still think Up will get the love, just a cute flick)
Up will win because it is Pixar, and that alone.
The Princess and The Frog could win since most people want Disney to return to it’s old days of hand drawn classic stories.
It’s hard not to enjoy and stop animated film so The Fantastic Mr. Fox and Coraline could win.
Sorry Ponyo.
Who should win? who knows.
I’m just wondering whether Tarantino’s pic will be announced as Inglourious Basterds or just Inglourious. My guess is the latter.
A stronger, more just case should have been made for Elaine May. Norah Ephron is insipid. Never fear, such a case will never be introduced. Looks like May, now in her late-seventies, has retired.
2009 Best Picture – Nine
or Million Dollar Baby Redux
i really hope coraline doesn’t get nominated. it was such a godawful movie. Up was funny for a while, but gets tiresome. fantastic mr. fox should win best animated picture.
It’s unlikely but I’d like to see In The Loop pick up some award nods such as Supporting Actor for Peter Capaldi and Adapted Screenplay.
Best Actor will probably be:
Colin Firth, A Single Man
Jeff Bridges, Crazy Heart
George Clooney, Up in the Air
Jeremy Renner, The Hurt Locker
????
I don’t know who’ll win, but I think those four will almost certainly be nominated. Maybe the fifth would be Daniel Day-Lewis? I don’t think so, but you never know…
Savvy
prob alec baldwin zach
I think jeff bridges wud win
Den, really? Alec Baldwin? I mean, it’s not impossible, but I’d be kind of pissed, actually…

What’s wrong with Alec Baldwin??? He’s awesome!
And George Clooney is gonna win without a doubt.
clooney won already recently
and bridges is probably due
I thought Clooney never won an Oscar!

Well, Den, Wernah ate his shoe, will you keep your promise? :-D
