Pulp Fiction is the Greatest Film Ever, Anyone who doesn't agree is a Republican

Such brilliant storytelling, and writing. John Travolta was flawless.

The only problem was Samuel L. Jackson, he stunk up the place.

Go Tarantino, cinema was born from his imagination.

^ is this a desperate cry for help, Uli?

Brad S.

Will someone let the real Uli know his account has been hacked and is being used for trollish purposes.

I’m interested to see where this goes…

Dr. Pepper

So apparently democrats love overrated movies. One more thing I can use against them.

Uli Cain, Cinefidel¹³

And Republicans want to deny funds to the arts, so even if Dems go overrated, at least Dems know what art is.

Samuel L. Jackson, he stunk up the place.

But he redeemed himself with Snakes on a Plane.

My goodness, Tyler1! Are you our first . . . MUBI Republican?

Matt Parks

Nope. I can think of at least one that goes way back.

Most people with a six-figure income and above vote Republican, so I’m sure there are plenty here (the fiscal conservative/social moderate to left of center demographic).

Anyone who agrees is a violence loving fourteen year old boy.

Who are these Mubi 1%-ers?

No they don’t. Where do you people get your information?

Drunken Father Figure of Old

I love when Mubi turns to politics!

Funny, Uli.

Also, i think DFFOO has found the most douchebaggy picture of QT evar.

This thread must be a joke.

I wanted to find the picture of him flipping off the Cannes audience, but alas… that wasn’t in the first 20 google image search results.

Rich are split between Democrat / Republican. I believe the studies have shown that if you are rich in a poor state you are more likely to vote Republican, and if you are rich in a rich state you are more likely to vote Democrat.

Waterloo Sunset

No they don’t. Where do you people get your information?

Yes they do. They tend to vote for the fiscal conservative candidate as long as it’s not a loony right-winger – it used to be called Rockefeller Republicans.
Of course in this case “fiscal conservative” means won’t increase taxes on the wealthy, including capital gains, and will not impose more regulations on the “free market”.

Rockefeller Republicans—fiscally conservative, socially moderate to liberal—are sorely missed these days. People like Lowell Weicker and William Weld would help bring a semblance of sense to the raving monsters of today’s GOP.

wolfmansRazor

Historically (well, since 1980, at least), people making over $100k have tended to vote Republican, but that gap seems to have been narrowing over the years to the point where Obama lost only slightly among voters with incomes between $100k and $200k, and actually won among voters making over $200k.

Historical data
2008 data

Obviously, this only covers presidential elections, but it should give a decent indication of general trends.

What any of this has to do with Quentin Tarantino, I can’t say. The idea that Quentin Tarantino birthed cinema is too absurd to comment on really.

Uli Cain, Cinefidel¹³

Yes, Odi, this thread is a joke. I have been assailing Pulp Fiction from my first day here, and I agree with House about the pic. I got tired of the the new decline, overrated, crap film threads, so here’s a positive thread about an overrated crap film.

Take everything I said in the OP and make a 180.

And Tyler is but a young pup, he’s not yet educated enough to rebel against conservatism.

Drunken Father Figure of Old

Ah – here’s a picture of cinema about to spring forth from QT’s fertile womb!

Daniel Vincent

DFFOO, you forgot to cover up all the holes revealing the hollow core of your measly money pile!

This is how I roll.

Uli, there do seem to be a number of young trolls on the boards in recent days. I’m waiting for the " ‘Gone with the Wind’ is Really Long, Doncha’ Think, And If Not Why Not" thread.

Uli Cain, Cinefidel¹³

Yeah, things here are almost as divided as the US is right now, and there is little room for moderates like me, so we may as well go extreme, become a cinematic jihadist (humorously, jihadist auto corrects to consider or hijacker or humanist).
