u are right that beyonce video is very similar with the glitter and glossy skin and revolving light
around the 40 second point of the beyonce vid looks very like around the 24 second point of the inferno clip
check this out 4 lots of cinema references from films like ca$ino, bound, texas chainsaw massacre and raging bull :O)
There is a current ad on tv for I think some tech product that directly steals from the Blade Runner reflecting eye (that is, unless Ridley Scott is doing tv commercials again and reusing his own visual idea).

I apologize for reviving such an old topic, but I just found an incredible homage to one of my all-time favorites, Antonioni’s Red Desert.

Awesome! What is that an ad for?
Miu Miu, Dffoo.
I guess I should have asked a more precise question:
What the heck is Miu Miu?
Dffoo, apologize for not elaborating; Miu Miu is a clothing line by Miuccia Prada, and the campaign in question is for the upcoming Spring/Summer 2013 season.
I’ve been able to come across another interesting cinematic homage in a Prada campaign, specifically the casting of Michael Pitt as the model for the Spring/Summer 2012 Prada menswear campaign, which heavily featured references to golf.

This proves to be a pretty perverse nod to Pitt’s role in Haneke’s American version of Funny Games.

google is your friend :)
Fair enough… I’ve been Mubi-ing from my phone lately, though, so it’s easier to just get you guys to do the dirty-work.
Lol. But how do you not know what Miu Miu is??
Opening of Hitchcock’s Vertigo:
Opening of Polanski’s Repulsion:
There’s a Simpsons episode called “I Am Furious (Yellow).”

My recent random discoveries, strangely enough, aren’t even in the medium of film.
I’ve recently seen a lot of ads for Marc Jacobs’ Fall 2011/Winter 2012 Collection for Louis Vuitton. It’s a obvious signifier of the perverse-S&M-dominatrix-bourgeois trend that is, apparently, going to be “in style” this season.
Take a closer look at the mask-and-hat combo the model is wearing. Does it remind anyone else of….
The Night Porter? It’s so obvious it definitely has to be an homage.
My second is not quite as obvious, but is no less amusing for popping up in such a strange context.
Beyoncé’s new music video for her song “1+1” hit the web yesterday, and the first portion of the vid has her against a plain backdrop covered in glittery make-up as the lighting seems to revolve, giving her an even more sparkly and shiny effect.
That visual trick immediately reminded me of the footage of Romy Schneider in Henri-Georges Clouzot’s Inferno.
This one isn’t quite as obvious or definite as a reference, but the combination of the makeup and lighting is uncanny, making it hard for me to think perhaps Beyoncé and/or the director took inspiration from Clouzot’s unfinished work.
