Crumb is one of the best documentaries i’ve ever seen but i probably won’t bother replacing my columbia dvd unless the Criterion version is absolutely extraordinary.
I feel pretty much the same way, joks. It apparently is only one disc. So, probably not much in the way of extras. But, the cover is tempting.
Louie Bluie is another matter. I don’t currently own a copy of this film.

I see that Criterion is releasing Crumb and Louie Bluie. Great news! Crumb is a superlative documentary, capturing the great cartoonists strange and unusual life as well as his many idiosyncrasies. Louie Bluie is a wonderful evocation of old time country blues.
