I’ve just watched Godard’s astonishing film “Contempt” and when I went to IMDB to learn more about it mentions there’s a reference to American in Paris, the film by Minnelli.
Can anyone tell me how does Godard mention it in the film?

That’s incorrect. The Minnelli film referenced in “Contempt” is “Some Came Running.”
