OK so after getting a lot of requests for this, but still not having the film online yet as VOD, we’ve decided to make the private page “In Passing” available for a bit on Vimeo.

In Passing

Password is: inpassing2011

The password will be good until Sunday 9am EST.

Thanks everyone for the support and interest!

Also links where you can respond to or review the film (which I’m sure the participating filmmakers would appreciate):

and here on Mubi

Hope you like it Tommy.

I did very much. I liked it as it a whole, but the segments Detritus and Metronome were most affecting for me because they hit me on a more personal level. But altogether, it’s a great work.

Thanks Tommy. Glad you did.

I’ll say it again — yay! :)

Remodernism must be great for people who don’t have any talent and think as themselves as artists.

^ That’s friendly of you.

Peter Rinaldi

@ alex — YES! It’s something that finally makes us feel like we belong and are important. I think you nailed it!

Peter Rinaldi

thank you alex, for helping us implement point #12 of the Remodernist film manifesto.

yeah, there can’t be any other reason to start a movement other than to hide one’s defects.

is that the same thing as wearing lots of makeup?

“…people who don’t have any talent and think as themselves as artist”
Same thing has been said about every artistic movement since the late 19th century.
“Them Cubists dont know how to paint a proper picture!” Gotta roll my eyes every time I heard a statemet like that.

It’s always amusing to me whenever we get one of these bizarre, angry reactions to remodernism. And it seems people mostly respond with one extreme or the other (either huge enthusiasm, or huge anger).

Francisco J. Torres

Matter of fact, i have not seen any Remodernist films (not too eager to either) but it seems that the space for innovation and dissidence in art has to be defended at all cost, even things I do not like or care about.

Jesse, it will be ready in about 2 weeks. I will either send you a password protected Vimeo link, or a DVD, ASAP. We should have a talk soon, I’ll shoot you a message.

Jen, thanks for the enthusiasm!

Jesse Richards

Looking forward to it! Yes let’s chat soon.

I think people freak out when there’s a manifesto involved.

Also, I want to see proof that the people who are criticizing the movement are making stupendous masterpieces.

Yeah.

I thought so.

So go ahead, post your non-remodernist genius piece right here, right on this thread, “real artists” out there! Do it! Come on, let’s see how talented you REALLY are! :D

Calling all film critics, the masterpieces are coming!

I don’t want/need to offend anyone around here, but that’s my opinion after reading that kind of 10 rules. I find the attack against Kubrick pretty ridiculous, sorry but i can’t see how being a perfectionist is something negative, and i prefer a good machine than a mediocre human.

Peter Rinaldi

That’s a valid criticism.
Question: why didn’t you post that first rather than that troll-like comment?

Live Ustream Q&A with Heidi Beaver and I this thursday night, the 31st, at 9:30pm EST on nobudgefilms.com. We’ll be talking about “In Passing” with Kentucker Audley via chat. Live chat your questions. If you haven’t seen the film yet, you can see it for free on NoBudge starting thursday.

I’ve been more interested in what nobudge has been doing, but I’m curious about what Audley has to do with this
