Research on East Asian cinema and film festivals

Hi there,

(I ran this by Adam Cook and got his OK before posting)

I am currently conducting research on audience consumption of East Asian cinema and the role of film festivals in the age of digital film-making and distribution. This research will form part of my thesis, but is also conducted with the intention of running a new dedicated East Asian film festival in Ireland sometime in late 2012. It is hoped that the responses to the research will help shape the programme and overall focus of the festival.

I’m currently looking for a range of audience responses, and given the range of cinematic opinion on MUBI I thought it would be the best place to hopefully get some responses on these subjects.

I have included a link to a survey below, and would really appreciate if any of you would be willing to take the time to fill it out (shouldn’t take any more than five or ten minutes). I’d be more than happy to share any findings with anyone interested once the research is complete, too.
